The Uzbekistan buyer runs limestone and gypsum pre-crushing for a cement and construction aggregate line in the Tashkent region, and the local feed carries moderate moisture with occasional sticky lumps. Gypsum arriving from the same quarry showed 8–10 percent moisture in lump form, which normally clogs impact crusher rotors. The shipment left the Weiwa workshop in Gongyi, Henan, after a full dry-run and paint inspection. Model Selection Logic for the UZ Order

The chosen model was a twin-roller high strength roll crusher with 800 mm roller diameter, 600 mm face width, 75 kW drive per roller through a hardened gearbox, and a spring-hydraulic gap system adjustable from 2 mm to 25 mm. Capacity was guaranteed at 35–45 t/h on 0–8 mm limestone, and 25–30 t/h on 0–5 mm gypsum cake break-up. These numbers were not marketing rounding. They came from a bench test on crushed Henan limestone with similar silica content to the UZ sample.

On-Site Commissioning and Crushing Test in Uzbekistan

The container reached the UZ site in 18 days. Our remote engineer joined a WhatsApp video session while the local team lifted the rollers, aligned the coupling, and filled the gearbox with ISO VG220 oil. First no-load run: 30 minutes, bearing temperature stable at 41 °C, vibration under 2.8 mm/s. Then the jaw crusher upstream started feeding 80–150 mm limestone at about 28 t/h.

Gap Adjustment and Discharge Size Control

Operators set the gap at 6 mm for the first shift. After 4 hours, belt-scale data showed 38.6 t/h average, with 91 percent of product passing 8 mm and only 7 percent below 0.5 mm. That fines number is the headline. An impact crusher on the same feed would typically throw 18–25 percent minus 0.5 mm, which forces the client to add washing or recycle loops. The high strength roll crusher kept the fines band low, so the cement raw-mix mill received a steadier feed.

Second shift, the gap closed to 3 mm for gypsum pre-crush. Throughput dropped to 26.4 t/h, expected for smaller gap, but the minus 1 mm fraction stayed under 12 percent. Roller surface showed even wear across the full face width, no ridging, no end-buildup. The UZ plant manager noted the noise level let staff stand beside the crusher without ear defenders at 1 meter, unlike their old hammer crusher.

Motor Load and Roller Wear After 72-Hour Test

Weiwa requested a 72-hour continuous trial before final acceptance. Results:

Average motor load 68 percent of rated on limestone, peak 81 percent on a 180 mm lump surge. Bearing temperature plateaued at 47 °C. Roller shell loss measured 0.18 mm on the drive side and 0.21 mm on the non-drive side after 72 hours, projecting a 14–16 month shell life on single-shift operation before first re-hardening. For a high strength roll crusher in UZ conditions, that wear rate beats the client’s previous imported roller crusher by roughly 30 percent, mainly due to Weiwa’s bimetal alloy shell with ceramic insert option.

Uzbekistan projects often compare four secondary crushers: cone, impact, hammer, and roll. Each has a lane. Cone crushers love hard granite and basalt but cost more and produce more elongated particles in sticky feed. Impact crushers give great shape on dry limestone but eat hammers on abrasive quartz veins. Hammer crushers are cheap upfront and terrible on gypsum cake.
